Sneakers Lookbook

In the midst of our cold winter break and the upcoming new year, we decided to reminisce and bring to surface the photos from our favorite photo shoot, which were taken during the summertime. The goal was to curate a sneakers look book. Indeed, sneakers have evolved from simply being a workout must-have to an everyday fashion accessory. In this post, we'll show you three ways to stay fashionable, yet comfortable all day.

Scarlett

I'm not typically a girl who likes to wear only black and white, but I decided to venture out of my comfort zone for this look. I decided to pair a lace-detailed kimono with a bolder ensemble underneath. To balance everything out and add a slight touch of color, I went with nude sneaker wedges for my shoes.

To accentuate my outfit, I added a delicate purple pendant and silver sunglasses.
As a final touch, I put on my black cross body bag that is big enough to hold all my belongings.

I decided to put together an outfit that can go from casual to athletic in a matter of minutes.
To do so, I kept the athletic wear simple with a sports bra and a pair of black shorts under the skirt. Then, I topped it off with a sheer jacket, perfect for the chilly summer nights. And of course, all this matching my black and white sneakers.

As for accessories, I went for classic black sunnies with a gold frame, an elegant watch and a choker to add some edge to the outfit.

For my outfit, I kept it very simple. Inspired by the colours on my sneakers, I decided to keep the outfit black and white with a pair of black distressed shorts and a white halter top.

To add a little bit of color back to the outfit, I accessorized it with a pair of blue reflective sunnies.

Finally, since it can get pretty chilly at night, I finished off my outfit with a black bomber.

Business Casual by Tiffany X JingYi

In honor of our school's networking event, we decided to dress up to go along the business casual theme. We have all struggled to conform to dress codes, especially the ones that mix and match two styles. For this occasion, we decided to put together two different outfits, one more on the casual side and the other, more professional.

Since we still had a long day of school before the event, I wanted to stay comfortable. I decided to wear a really soft black t-shirt with black leggings. The bipolar temperature in Montreal forces me to be ready to withstand both the cold and the heat at the same time (which explains my obsession with layers). To add some bling to my outfit, I decided to go for marble framed reflective sunglasses and a minimal marble stone necklace with gold detailing. And of course, my favorite blazer on top of everything for the night's event.

As for the event, I was able to meet professionals from the two fields in which I am interested. They answered my never-ending questions and gave me a lot of advice that would definitely be useful in the future. P.S. We also had amazing drinks and food, which made the whole night even better!

Now, time to pass it over to my style inspiration (I want her closet) and friend JingYi. You can follow her on Instagram here!

Now, those who know me are well aware that I have a thing for trench coats, not only because your outfit can somewhat look put together (and yet have put very little effort into it), but also because it is made out of a waterproof material, perfect for a rainy season. In honor of my college's annual networking event, I decided to wear a white blouse with a leaf print on it, a compromise between a formal and a casual attire. To top it off, I threw a black blazer on my shoulders, which, with the navy pants, put together the whole outfit. Also, instead of wearing high heels and kill my feet at school, I opted for ankle boots, which is waaaay more comfortable for walking around school all-day and perfect for the season.

About the networking event, it was a relaxing and enriching night, and I should say that the speakers convinced me to pursue what I have in mind... but the future will decide for itself.

A pleasure to share this with you; I sincerely hope you enjoyed it too. Stay beautiful fashionistas! x

Back to School

When people talk about back to school fashion, we immediately think about the word "plaid". We all incorporated this pattern in our outfits differently.

Tiffany

For back to school season, I decided to go for a comfortable outfit that could adapt to any temperature. I paired a simple black t-shirt with a knit skirt and threw a cardigan on top of it. Like this, if it gets chilly, you will be cozy and warm in your cardigan, but if it gets warmer, you can take it off and not die of heat. And of course, I had to go with slip-on shoes because they are so easy to put on, which is really useful for those mornings where you are running late. Last but not least, the most important thing that you need when you go to school is a school bag. I chose this one because the black and white can go with any outfit and it is also convenient when you have other fancier activities after school (date, shopping, meeting, work, etc) so you can attend without changing bags.

For my outfit, I decided to go with a simple and comfortable outfit. I'm wearing a black tank top and leggings paired with a plaid shirt to add some colour and keep me warm if it gets windy. For accessories, I'm wearing mirrored sunglasses and a Kanken backpack which may look small, but can surprisingly hold a lot of stuff.

To go back to school in style, I decided to focus my outfit around my short checkered dress. To make it more school appropriate, I decided to add a white shirt under it. I threw a necklace on top to make the outfit look cute but also elegant. All of this paired with a pair of comfortable sneakers to run between classes and a colourful backpack to alleviate my mood before I get buried under huge stacks of books.
